We specialize in 2-3 person/couples charters and family charters, so you won't share your boat with strangers or pay extra for a private charter. We will match anybody to get you the best rates on a per passenger basis (based on a mininum of 2 guests), saving you money and guaranteeing a custom experience for you and just those people you came with.
Courtesy pick-up and drop-off provided, which becomes a driving tour to Herring Cove's famous fish and bear viewing bridge.

Specializing in 2-3 person and family fishing charters, DoubleTake Charters is a father-daughter (captain and deckhand) operated Ketchikan charter that takes pride in providing exceptionally personalized fishing experiences. Our focus on pairs/couples charters and family charters ensures a custom and memorable day on the water for everyone who joins us.
Comfortable Ride
Our 24 foot Trophy cabin cruiser has a spacious fishing deck for the fishing action, and a dinette table and seating inside the cabin to keep you out of any "liquid sunshine". Play your own music selection on the stereo and enjoy the availability of an indoor, private, enclosed flushing head (toilet).
Powered by a Volvo Penta 300, the heavy fiberglass deep-V hull cuts any waves to get you there comfortably. (Though much of the best fishing occurs within a few miles of our secluded harbor.)
Our harbor is only a few hundred yards from the fish hatchery creek and some prime salmon-trolling grounds, we waste no time getting there. Due to our location, our "run out" from the harbor is usually beteween 1 and 5 minutes to the fishing grounds.
Courtesy Pickup (Road Tour) Included
We'll pick you up from town, and the ride to the harbor actually becomes a driving tour of the "south end" of the island to get to our secluded harbor. Many visitors pay a couple hundred dollars just to get on a tour bus/van/trolley and go for the same ride!
The drive can go through the totem park and past bald eagle nesting if you like, and it ends at the famous Herring Cove fish and bear viewing bridge, which is right by our harbor! Our harbor is appropriately named "Hole in the Wall" harbor and features a classic Alaskan dockside bar and grill, which often has local live music. We can stop in before, after, and even during our trip for a drink, burger, and some local flavor.
Scenic Ketchikan Waters
Besides the fish, marine life is a frequent bonus of the fishing grounds. Humpback Whales, Orcas, Porpoises, Sea Lions, and Seals are commonly seen while fishing. Bald eagles are literally a guarantee.
Family Charter Specialists
A lifetime of fishing with our own kids, our friends kids, and our kids friends has made kid-friendly fishing our superpower. Our deckhand also doubles as an onboard babysitter to entertain the young'uns and prevent them from ever asking "can we go back now".
The dinette table is perfect for board games, cards, coloring books, art projects etc. The Cuddy-cabin below deck is even available for naps and has held many a pack-and-play for tired mini-fishermen.
